The 12 best films in or around 2011

My normal disclaimer: I live in an area that doesn’t get a lot of the small or foreign films so I may not have had the pleasure of seeing every film highly rated from 2011. On the flip side to that a lot of the movies on this list might have a 2010 release date due to the fact that I could not see them until this year.

I like to get this list done by the time the Oscars air. Its my deadline. I have no intention of watching the Oscars. I won’t get into another rambling rant about why I do not like the academy awards anymore. I’ll keep my huge rants on Facebook,but I will say this: While I don’t hate every...
