I could give a bunch of philosophical reasons about the need for a balance between good and evil and how the hero cannot exist without the villain, and they are all valid pieces of the argument. However, the motivation for me creating this list is a bit easier. I love the bad guys. Always have. There is a freedom and an allure to the darker side of humanity and these are the films that for me, capture that spirit perfectly. Some revel in their own maleficence, some act of out of a perverse sense of justice or duty, and some are just unstoppable forces, but all of them are just amazing to watch.
