One of the most annoying questions that anybody can ask you, only after you’ve answered them to a previous question that goes like “So, what do you like to do?”, to which response goes as “I like films. I like to see films. I’m actually a filmmaker.”; and it is at that precise moment the most annoying comes in – ‘Oh, cool! What’s your favorite film?‘- and as soon that shit comes flying over you just want to give a smile and ignore the question. But as polite I can be all the time (since the day I was born), I answered "Well, I can’t really tell, there are so many. I should give you a list…" followed by a chuckle and continue talking about other things. Point being is that this question, if given to me again today it won’t bother me as much as it would have a long time ago. As time has thought me the things that grab you the most are the things that you can’t let go, and for me I’ve seen that that I have returned to a particular group of films, re watching, to see what is it that attracts me to them so much, what are they saying, what voracious feeling are they trying to suck out of my system? You don’t think about it, you just pop up an image in your head and instantly you are seated down in front of your laptop and pushing play. So, after hours and days of realizing this unintentional affection to cinema, I have ponder which are the films that keep calling me, that have taken many nights of sleep but for a greater good, because even if it all sounds unhealthy in the end they are just there to…simply… talk… to you… to maybe say ‘hey, everything is alright’ or ‘man you better step up’ or ‘FUCK IT! JUST DO IT" or “Just live” or ’Damned, I’m really messed up’… many times they can say other things, and a lot of it can be messy sometimes… But, they never stray for a wrong answer ( I mean it depends) because in the end they are simply you, they are a reflection of you. Thus, here are those films, the ones that speak for my soul, those that I can finally put down on a piece of paper and give to any person who is interested to keep having any given conversation about any given theme for a very long time. Cheers!

*NOTE: This list is in no particular order so go through it as messy as you want. And if I were you, I wouldn’t fully trust it.
