This is my first list that is not just organizing someone else’s favorites. Horror films were my entry point into really being a ‘film person’ or whatever you want to call it. So here’s a list of standout titles.

Now there are plenty of great films here but there are also many less conventional titles, because horror is so visceral the genre lends itself to guilty pleasures, films that have interesting elements at work but dont quite come together.
