A list of my favourite, and/or I see as historically important films. Whilst I enthuse about the majority of titles on this list, others are a little flawed, but feature something or another that give them their place – for example, Alfred Hitchcock’s rather average ‘Torn Curtain’ is included purely for one scene and Jean-pLuc Godard’s ‘Breathless’ is here for the editing, otherwise, I continue to have a mixed perception of the film. Documentaries are also prohibited. However, semi-documentaries (‘Waltz with Bashir’, ‘Notes on Blindness’ etc) are allowed.
