My favourite films released in 2010 (worldwide premiere). Random remarks: Banksy’s mordant exposé on the value of art provided one the most engrossing moviegoing experiences in a while. Kiarostami delved in a similar topic, but as a background to a ripping drama. Marty took a bold shot at the psycho thriller genre that was sadly underrated. Uncle Joe’s latest still has me puzzled, but it’s a joy as it is. Fincher could make anything interesting, even a bunch of Harvard undergrads fighting over their bloated egos.
