Top Ten of the Year - 1971

These are my choices for the top ten films of 1971. I’m only did US movies (produced by a US company) so there’s no “Clockwork Orange” or “Duck, You Sucker” or “Walkabout” or “Straw Dogs” or a lot of other good movies that would otherwise be on the list. I’m also not using any of the movies on any of AFI’s top 100 movie lists to try and highlight some lesser known US films. (1971 AFI films were “The French Connection”, “Clockwork Orange”, and “The Last Picture Show”)
