A fabulous treat for her fans! We see her rehearsing backstage and performing Medea on stage, behind the scenes with Chabrol and Haneke, and best of all, the very first images of Huppert on film: home movies of her as a child. At 3 years old or 5, her presence on film is already magical. Obviously. Others have said it, but I will say it again: Isabelle Huppert is the greatest living actor in Cinema.
Isabellesque! Huppert breathes art devotion in this close look around the myth. She's so beautiful to look at, strong and fragile: a broken femme fatale for image makers. One extra star for Haneke's coldness - it's great to watch them interact. Another extra star for the voice-overs: her voice and her poetic view of acting complement each other perfectly. I guess I'm down for this screen loving.
