Unfriended: Dark Web Diarahkan oleh Stephen Susco
Scarier, funnier, and more narratively clever than its already impressive predecessor.

Dark Web, not overly compromised by success, retains its predecessor’s sense of lo-fi menace, marrying the now-established “rules” of the budding franchise to a fresh storyline.

It is a desperate examination for a desperate time that horror in all its contemporary forms has all but ignored, preferring instead to relocate problems to the realm of the individual or retreat into the past, as if to tell us that it is okay to be “just a movie.” Dark Web is just a movie too, but you wouldn’t know just by watching it.

Apa yang orang lain katakan?

  • HKFanatic's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

"Dark Web" drops the first film's cyber-bullying and supernatural angle for a storyline involving...snuff films and SWATing. Yes, we're in deeply unpleasant territory here, but strangely the more 'realistic' subject matter feels like it has less to say about the way we live our lives online than the original, choosing to simply wallow in a pervasive sense of nihilism. Or maybe I just miss that first batch of kids.

  • Steve Pulaski's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

"Unfriended: Dark Web" is a bleak, melancholic sequel. Equal parts depressing as it is effectively chilling. Instead of cheapening internet buzzwords like "the dark web" and "cryptocurrency," Stephen Susco's film shows the horrifying underbelly of web-based crime that exists in a connected world. Seeing this group of friends suffer is surprisingly upsetting, and the alternate ending is just deflating.

  • smndvdcl's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

Surprisingly engaging sequel which makes a transition from supernatural cyber-horror, to mortal forms of malevolence. The premise is by no means original (Catfish, Nerve, Searching, Mr. Robot, The Matrix) but the mileage made with the concept, the clear knowledge of computer programming, hacking, darkweb crime etc. makes this a haunting and uncanny ride.

  • Jason's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

The insistent vitality of the UNFRIENDED films is in no small part a matter of the New. In a landscape characterized by hyperconnectivity and the proliferation of screens it stands to reason that the cinema would find itself compelled to explore new forms and assimilate new methodologies. DARK WEB improves upon the first UNFRIENDED by replacing the paranormal w/ significantly-more-terrifying real-world horrors.

  • Palmat's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

A solid horror thriller that has a strong set up and confident follow through. The acting is on point and even though the plot is implausible it still works is you suspend your disbelief. While effective I could not help to think of the old horror gem My Little Eye that mined the rise of reality TV the same way as this does social media and the internet. So despite its somewhat derivate nature the movie works fine.

  • Renton47's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

Many will bypass Unfriended with justification that the bulk of teen horrors and Blumhouse productions are bad. In fact DW is probably one of the most stunning creations you are liable to see. It is meticulous production, this time bolstered by a more realistic and enthralling set up. Switching off doesn’t even register anymore. Imagine if its evil was even more grounded.

  • Rocco's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web

I’m honestly still just so shocked and impressed by how much these films do with the self-imposed strictures of the setup. An altogether more disturbing effort than the first, Susco’s film may be all surface, but it manages to tap into the all-too-modern terrors of an interconnected world where no one can be anonymous and evil pleasures lurk just beyond the net’s family-friendly, password-protected surface.

  • Tibulle85's rating of the film Unfriended: Dark Web
