MUBI is a curated movie streaming platform and social network reaching a community of 8 million film lovers around the world with offices in London, New York and Kuala Lumpur. For our soon to be launched office in Mumbai, India we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team and lead marketing activation, launch strategy, and partnerships. You would play a central role in a small, dedicated team working in close collaboration with global counterparts to build awareness and fuel growth of MUBI India to be launched in October 2019.
Our ideal candidate
The Manager, Marketing & Partnerships, India needs to have a strong understanding of the market and the SVOD landscape with at least five years of experience in film or arts marketing and partnerships. Strong film knowledge is absolutely necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Build and shape the marketing strategy of MUBI India in collaboration with MUBI’s Marketing Director
  • Help to define long-term goals for growth and execute plans to fulfill established objectives
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with key partners including strategy, activation, and all ongoing initiatives
  • Lead execution of partnerships including: Consumer journey and activation optimization, develop cross-promotional campaigns, promotional asset development.
  • Liaise with internal teams (content, product, design) in pursuing and managing partnerships
  • Analyze and evaluate marketing activities to determine impact, monitoring and optimizing to constantly improve KPIs (activation, engagement and churn)
  • Focus on subscriber acquisition, testing new offers, distribution models, and growth channels/strategies
  • Identify and build relationships with optimal platforms, institutions, brands, and businesses that will add value to MUBI’s presence in India
  • Create a regular reporting system to brief the global team on progress
Essential Requirements
  • 5+ years of related experience in marketing, partnerships and audience development
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Indian media and communications landscape
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, highly motivated, thrives in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker, willing to look past easy answers to find the best solution to any problem
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with cross-functional counterparts
  • A confident and effective communicator with strong writing skills
  • Analytics-driven mindset with instinct to track and measure results, learn, optimize, and iterate
  • Passion for film beyond the multiplex
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
