  • chanandre's rating of the film Sausage Party

[HBO pt] This was oh so unPC, abrasive, gross&apeshit funny. The final orgy would've been okay'd by Pasolini himself: Mexico's Teresa shoving US's Frank up Israel's Sammy (Ed Norton doing his best Woody Allen) mouth, through US's Brenda vaj onto the dick of Palestine's Lavash is one of the most effective 'make love, not war' film messages.Nods to Stargate, Private Ryan & Stephen Hawking (Fitter, Happier) killed me <3

  • Rafael Zen's rating of the film Sausage Party

Theoretically, Sausage Party is my thing: offensive humor with no strings attached to anything but raw reality, but my main issue with Rogen-Hill-Goldberg supermarket wet dream is its safe spots: a completely by-the-book plot and its unfinished design. It's an adult comedy, but very "real life for dummies". If losing its necessity to over explain, it could have been really dirty - and really smart.

  • Zachary T.'s rating of the film Sausage Party

"We're the non-perishables, motherfucker." Creative and ballsy, for sure. Un-PC, fair warning, but never mean-spirited. It often feels like one joke spread thin over a whole movie, but it is a pretty good joke. Probably the best argument for agnosticism you'll see in a film about horny profanity-spewing groceries. Salma Hayek's taco and Ed Norton's Woody Allen bagel are worth admission price.

  • msmichel's rating of the film Sausage Party

Unfortunately the film is no more clever than its trailer and the crassness and lack of wit becomes grating before long. A few good laughs here and there but in the end a little tedious and the ending is pretty terrible. Disappointing.

  • Steve Pulaski's rating of the film Sausage Party

Has the usual problem of many Seth Rogen-led pictures in that it gets a bit too obsessed with its vulgarities and its destruction of boundaries, so much so that it forgets that it should also be funny rather than just crass. Despite this, it's still frequently hilarious, with strong subtext about blind faith and religion that doesn't feel like it comes from a place of superiority and condescension.

  • João Rocha's rating of the film Sausage Party

When I started this, I thought to myself "this one is gonna end with an orgy"... and that is the worst part of the movie

  • HenriqueA's rating of the film Sausage Party

Much better than I thought it would be (basically I was expecting 90 minutes of increasingly tired dick/faget jokes). It ain't nothing spectacular, but it really is fun and kind of awe-inspiring to watch such a silly concept being explored to its moronic maximum capacity. I mean, this was the first time I watched someone shooting up bath salts in a movie and that must count for something.

  • Jason's rating of the film Sausage Party

Essentially parodic, but with earnest grit. Mocks 'pie in the sky' faith in the hereafter, the recalcitrant stuborness of the masses, idiotic politico-ideological divisions, and domineering mores pertaining to sexuality. As this is a brainchild of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, also some humour at the expense (?) (perhaps exultant humour) of the super-duper stoned. The movie is, to its credit, at odds w/ bullshit.
