The most annoying movie-retard ever. And if you think that's insensitive, you should see this film and it's portrayals of the mentally and terminally ill. There's a plot twist at the end that's like "Ooh! Not everything is what it seems" but really who gives a fuck when you've spent the previous 80 minutes mocking the audience's intelligence with a story so beyond belief?
Starts slow and plodding, then descends into gimmicks. Both tones aren't that interesting, and Bill's character is both too annoying and dimensionally one-note to spend in the company of for a long amount of time. The later tripout style renders it only a dull headtrip movie, when it should have taken from Polanski to be properly disturbing, tragic, and emotional. Instead, it's just totally alienating.
