That’s something we really didn't do in Vietnam – or in Iraq. We flew into both wars on the wings of lies. We had so very little knowledge of the countries and so much ignorance of their cultures. They were both societies that we attempted to remake. In Vietnam, we failed utterly. With Iraq, well, we’ll see.”
