“What we did is basically produce a film based on that unused footage, about a film that was never completed. Now, it’s more an experience in film directing and documentary directing—although it’s not really a documentary—than film restoration as it is. We’ve created a lot of elements, including music, some dialogue… we had very little to work from.”
