Beoordelingen & Recensies

  1. CarlosEsquives's rating of the film Jaffa

  2. FISCHER's rating of the film Jaffa

  4. T Mills's rating of the film Jaffa

The story is good and effective. However, the shot choices and lighting are off. I think the film would have benefited from a more natural look but it's lit like a soap opera at times. It counteracts the drama. Also, I don't know if anyone else had this issue but these were some of the most out of sync subtitles I have ever seen.

  5. Bernardo Anderson's rating of the film Jaffa

A girl is dealt a hard decision between her lover and her family. Well made and interesting characters.

  6. Ben Loory's rating of the film Jaffa

The first half is so incredibly intense, it's like the rest of it suffers from PTSD. Comes together nicely at the end, but there's a definite dip in the middle.

  7. El Biffo's rating of the film Jaffa

Fabulous cast, with Dana Ivgy and Ronit Elkabetz, who both starred in OR (2004), also by Keren Yedaya.

  9. afuchs's rating of the film Jaffa

A sterile, devastating film. Carefully and painfully dissecting its plot from the "big picture" that you'd so much like to see, it makes you desperate to ignore it, and leaves you in a state of excruciating, unresolved awareness. And still it is a film about a family. It seems to draw heavily upon Middle Eastern drama, of which I am no expert, and nods skillfully to Amos Gitai, the maestro.
