Wat zeggen anderen?

  • chanandre's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

[IMAX 3D]The lonely brontossaurus (like a weeping doggy realizing his owner is leaving him behind) engulfed by a smog-like death cloud is one of the most beautiful scenes in mainstream cinema this year. Chris Pratt is really growing on me. They dodged a bullet here (franchise-wise) Bayona gave it a breath of fresh air, at moments recalling the best Spielberg. The opening scene was truly amazing: almost broke a tooth

  • Ethan's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

This film delivers on the action and thrills but it's getting to the point where there is only so much you can do with this universe, even though they left it wide open for a sequel. Pratt redeems himself from his douchey turn in Infinity Wars and Bryce Dallas Howard is an absolute wonder to behold. All in all, a solid action film that falls flat in most places but definitely has its moments.

  • msmichel's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Lazy scripting which basically 'remodels' the best moments from previous entries nearly sinks this latest effort in the franchise only saved by exceptional effects especially in the first half of the film set on the island. The need to keep providing a new hybrid 'monster' keeps getting sillier and sillier. Performers are strictly secondary and cardboard here. The massive forthcoming box office ensures continuance.

  • HKFanatic's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

"Fallen Kingdom" represents an Extinction Level Event for Nineties nostalgia, putting the Island of our youth to rest in a glorious hail of fire. From there, the film - at last - moves the needle forward on this franchise, introducing new ideas that would logically arise from the genetic engineering of Spielberg's original, and returns a welcome dose of survival-horror for the scary (and fun!) moonlit finale.

  • Steve Pulaski's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" is essentially "The Last Jedi" of the "new" franchise. After a film tailor-made to be a crowdpleasing thrill-ride, this sequel presents the fork in the road. There's interpersonal politics, ethical dilemmas, and a lot of dimly light action setpieces all to try and make it more impacting than it was ever meant to be. Five movies and 25 years later, I've had a lifetime's worth of dinos.

  • T. J. Mesen's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

This franchise has reached such levels of stupidity since Spielberg left the helm that in hindsight it's even crazier to remember that Lost World was panned when it was released. Fallen Kingdom is two completely different movies packed in one. The second one is probably the movie Bayona was interested in making. It would've worked better as a spinoff. Something like a "Slauterhouse: A Jurassic Park Story" instalment.

  • Palmat's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

After a quite pedestrian first reel where we have seen everything before, the movie shifts gears into "new" territory and becomes a more interesting beast. The mansion-set finale goes almost by the way of horror instead of adventure. And the whole "weaponized-monster" theme reminds me of when the Alien franchise was good. And the final frames also builds a cool jumping off point for the next installment.

  • Andhika Eka Buana's rating of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

At first I had a very big doubt about this sequel from the very worst movie of the franchise. The trailer didn't get me excited and actually kind of ridiculous (they go back to the island to save the dinosaurs from a volcano??). But guess 100 points for the marketing team by hiding the true essence of this film. Much more EX MACHINA (and/or BLACK MIRROR) than a JURASSIC PARK franchise. The last hour is a bonkers.
