3.7 stars. Contains as much violence as Haneke at his subtlest. Dominic Cooper's doggedly un-self aware husband is the kind of man who wouldn't recognise himself in a #metoo story. Gemma Arterton gives a brilliantly judged performance. I liked how the DP drew symbolism from the heavy-handed symbolism people build around themselves in their homes (the wooden heart). The film peeters out, much as life sometimes does.
