movies by women for 2016

this is that thing people are doing. 52 is the common goal but with the amount of movies i’ve been watching lately, i know i can do much better than that, so we’ll see where i end up.

wasn’t originally gonna make a list because it feels self-congratulatory but i decided that publicizing it probably helps peer pressure people who aren’t trying to watch more movies by women into doing so, so here we are

my arbitrary rule of thumb here is to count anything that’s at least ten minutes long. listed in the order i’ve watched them.
