Al Shaw, a former race car driver, runs a car wrecking yard called the “Smash Palace” in New Zealand’s North Island. He inadvertently helps ruin his own marriage and then kidnaps his daughter Georgie and heads for the bush, desperately hoping to hold onto the only family he has left.
