Roger Corman Stany Zjednoczone, 1959

dionysus67's rating of the film A Bucket of Blood

Stylish and atmospheric, yet nearly parodic of the art culture, its caustic humor may have inspired Soho characters in Scorsese's 'After Hours'. Dick Miller is superb as the busboy who is mentally crushed by marginalization and by the inferiority complex which his surroundings cultivate. Some of the chiaroscuro shots are great, the finale appropriately tragic and the comedy/horror fusion is charmingly clumsy. Good.
