Our take

Draped in a cold, restrained color palette, Urszula Antoniak’s second film is a thorny study of female solitude and sexual diversions that provoked extreme reactions during its Cannes debut. Bien de Moor’s visceral performance has a Haneke-esque boldness that elicits pity and repulsion all at once.
