Mixing libidinal imagery with Lovecraftian horror while also upending police procedural conventions, Alejandro Fadel’s mystery is an unpredictable and bracing ride. Multiple homicides and primeval terrors are unleashed on the Andes in this grisly and philosophical genre-bender of a thriller.
