Overrated. I had high hopes for this movie after I see the trailer but turns out I didn't like it. It did have its moments of hilarity, but it was boring most of the time. I was only laughing here and there. At some point, I could not wait for this movie to end. Knocked Up was soo much better.
Very funny, but it took at least 20 minutes to get away where comedically. A bit too much frat humor for my taste but overall still very funny. The scenes with the cops where the best scenes in the movie, absolutely hysterical. Hill's character got annoying after a while, but Cera, Stone and McLovin were great. Overall I'd say very good but no where near great.
Recognized by many are the laugh out loud hijinks of this inaugural entry in the Rogen/Hill era, but amiss is the reading of nuance and sensitivity in the film's dialogue and narrative themes.

88/100 - Excellent. (4.5)
A new comedy classic. This movie will still be watched 20 years from now and will probably be one of the first movies rented by each new generation of high schoolers. As bad as this may sound, this movie is the most realistic film about American high school I've ever seen (at least MY high school).
I dont really get this film. The humour doesn't cut it for me...its all very predictable after min 15. Predictability is the very poison of cinema.
Interestingly, I can almost draw a comparison with Wayne's World which also emerges from American teen culture. In stark contrast WW has some killer humour and super witty script, oozes originality throughout and delivers a hilarious caricature of the youth of that era.
