Jim Hawkins only dreamed of one thing: to go on a treasure hunt. After long listening to the accounts of an old boat captain, he decides to embark on the adventure.

A passion project years in the making for Chilean master Raúl Ruiz, Treasure Island proved a fraught production. Typically, this is no straight adaptation of the Stevenson novel, but rather an ambitious, metafictional deconstruction using key characters and themes to sumptuous, byzantine effect.
