We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with film programming experience and a passion for film to join our team in New York. You will be an integral part of a small, dedicated team working to bring the best curation experience to our members in the United States, as well as those all around the globe.
  • Research to improve and diversify the U.S. curation by bringing engaging titles, focuses, and cycles
  • Compose editorial to introduce and contextualize programming for subscribers in multiple territories
  • Coordinate content offering across partner platforms
  • Coordinate workflow for MUBI GO, a new initiative that allows our members to watch new films on release in theaters set to launch in Q1 2020
  • Prepare reports from our analytics system
  • Create, update, and review metadata (synopsis, trailers, stills, cast/crew, festivals/awards)
  • Assess scouted and submitted films for suitability for programming
  • Maintain the content inventory highlighting strengths and areas to improve
Our Ideal Candidate
The Programming Coordinator, United States needs to have a good understanding of the market and the SVOD landscape with at least 3 years of experience in the film industry. Strong cinema knowledge—American and international, past and present—is necessary. The position requires fluency in writing about film for the public. Good communication skills are essential in order to share all required assets, work with an internationally diverse team, coordinate content-related partnerships, and contextualize programming efforts. An attitude that combines a data-driven approach with thinking creatively outside the box is encouraged. The Programming Coordinator position will constantly require challenging and questioning assumptions.

  • Ability to speak a second language is a plus
