Following a traffic accident, Chicago police find Mark Roberts, suspected of a double murder. He is arrested and handed over to Marshal Samuel Gerard, who guards him during his plane transfer to New York, along with 20 other prisoners. During the flight, Roberts takes a gun and blows out a window.
