Very good series that balances the seriousness of Nolan and the gothic sensibilities of Burton and also adds some dashes of Schumacher's silliness. Acting and direction is strong throughout and I think the writing while sometimes uneven keeps things moving fast and engaging.
Conservative power fantasies aside (after all it IS a Fox show), this was much better than I expected. A pretty good feel of Gotham as an urbanized asylum with some great choices for early Batman villains (everybody knows The Penguin at this point), following the style established by Nolan. Gets rushed at the end but that is understandable, given the hasty decision to end the series.
