Refreshingly defying queer stereotypes, Clarisa Navas’ sophomore feature is fuelled by the free-form force of nature that is desire. Immersive long takes allow us to truly inhabit the space—a housing project where the filmmaker grew up—and triumphantly reveal how tenderness can grow amid hostility.
