Nana, a restless young Parisian, descends into prostitution when her aspirations to become an actress falter. Recently separated from her husband, Nana is completely alone except for her heartless pimp and the women she knows from hooking in the banlieue.

Perhaps one of Jean-Luc Godard and Anna Karina’s most beautiful and loving collaborations, this jewel of the French New Wave contains some of the movement’s most iconic scenes. While it whizzes through Paris, Godard’s fourth film remains a socially conscious and profoundly cinematic artwork.
