A spectacularly warm and enchanting coming-of-age film, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape manages to explore seismic events and small-town life without slipping into tragedy. And then there’s the ensemble cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp in the titular role, and the always wonderful Juliette Lewis.
