CANNES 2018, BEST TO WORST

In what had to be the less exciting competition since the year that shook the barley, I was simply waiting to be amazed. First time it happened was with Alice Rohrwacher’s Lazzaro Felice. Other highlights were Nadine Labaki’s film Capernaum, Pawel Pawlikowski impeccable Cold War, Hirozaku Korea’s Shoplifters and the wonderful Burning by Lee Chang-Dong.

Overall, a slightly uninteresting year.
