THREE DAYS AND A CHILD

Eli is a young graduate student in math who lives with his girlfriend in Jerusalem. He agrees to babysit Shai, the young son of his beloved former girlfriend, Noa , and her husband. Eli and Shai spend three days touring Jerusalem, as Eli relives painful memories of his life.

Directed by Uri Zohar, a figure of the Israeli New Sensibility movement, Three Days and a Child’s bewitchingly enigmatic narration was inspired by the French New Wave. Oded Kotler won the Best Actor Prize in Cannes for his performance in this ruminative portrait of a troubled man in love.
