The kind of movie that will thrill film scholars around the world because the director's ultimate goal was to question the western genre by telling a well-known story in a revisionist manner. It's Robert Altman stuff without Bob's talent. Already forgotten.
Very good performance from Stacy Keach as Doc Holliday with charisma and depth, Faye Dunaway and him had touching scenes, for once romance didn't feel forced but part of the character's evolution. Wyatt Earp might not look as impressive as in other movies but he's still more interesting as a man fighting for his own interests than Burt Lancaster bland "lawman".
