Our take

Former Guy Ritchie conspirator Matthew Vaughn (whose career behind the camera stretches from Snatch to Kingsman) made a head-turning directing debut with this rough, sexy, and very British crime thriller. And when the makers of the new 007 saw it, they came calling for Daniel Craig.
