SUMMER OF GOLIATH

Summer of Goliath is a documentary/fiction hybrid that narrates various stories of the people of the town of Huilotepec in rural Mexico.

Nicolás Pereda’s docu-fiction hybrid is light on narrative yet gracefully weighty in tone and atmosphere. Vignettes of stories, both real and imagined, capture the soul-stirring complexity of a small town in rural Mexico, told through painterly lighted interiors and dynamic outdoor camera movements.
