The House Next Door
Offering no social critique of generation selfie, or much in the way of kinky thrills, Bang Gang has the unfortunate distinction of premiering during the 20th anniversary year of Larry Clark's Kidscausing a "cultural blitzkrieg" upon its release, and is unlikely to be remembered with anywhere near the same notoriety a year from now.

Astutely milking its erotic appeal - and treading a delicate fine line this side of exploitation - Bang Gang has a zeitgeisty punch that doesn't always make for thematic depth, but that marks Husson as a confident stylist and director of young talent, both seasoned and non-professional.
