Acceptable reboot/copy of the original set on an alien planet ruined by a boring script and uninspired characters. Adrian Broody tries to channel a Christian Bale performance by talking in a low voice and without gaining any muscles for an action hero. What is fun to see is the varied and different type of killer-Predators and the film do have some solid action moments.
Musique correcte. Acteurs moyens. Bon CGI. Quelques scènes sont très jolies. Trop d'action ennuyante. Voilà.
Way better than what I expected it to be, even though it is obviously flawed it manages to contain itself and not be ridiculous. It is an american action movie and a pretty flawed one at that, but you kinda know what you're getting into when you watch a movie like this so I can't complain about that...
A mess of combat-ready stereotypes (including one who coincidentally offers a tenuous connection to the OG Predator) being transported to an alien hunting preserve I can believe but Adrian Brody as a Blackwater bad-ass? Now that takes suspension of disbelief. But hey, Mahershala Ali, Danny Trejo & Walton Goggins so that's cool.
There is something innately interesting about the Predator series and mythology. It's a fun concept that appeals to the action fanboy inside me. While Shane Black will try once again to reboot the franchise, Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal do a noble job here. Adrian Brody is really fun to watch. While he's no Arnold, and too be fair that's a ridiculous standard to try to match, he's fully committed.
I loved it just because of the Predators tbh. Interesting scene in the sword fight between the Yakuza and one of the predators. Still surprised how the humans aren't killed with just one shot. Thta would be too easy for those majestic creatures wouldn't it? ehehe I need to collect those masks tho
Could've used without Trejo..... this was not great.... but still, as a fan of the series, I did enjoy it for the most part, but let's face it this flick ain't rocket-science! Shame on you Laurence Fishburne! Ya, you should be ashamed, lol. The script is pretty sloppy
