Our take

Sharp and suspenseful, Giuseppe Capotondi’s fascinating film noir—full of stupefying surprises—is reminiscent of not just the work of Alfred Hitchcock but David Lynch as well. A tense, erotic revenge thriller for which Kseniya Rappoport won the Venice Film Festival’s Best Actress prize.
