Prior to Marguerite’s huge success, filmmaker Xavier Giannoli had already directed a film about a rather unusual singer, starring Cécile de France, Mathieu Amalric and legendary Gérard Depardieu! Playfully alluding to the actor’s iconic status, The Singer is a charmingly atypical love story.
