Wizard People, Dear Reader deserves to be in the database

not only is it the hardest i have ever laughed consistently for two hours +
it is pulls-off a genuine artistry rife with improvisation & actual spurts of real poetry

Brad Neely’s narration is oftentimes better written than the book itself.

Synopsis:

Wizard People, Dear Reader is an unauthorized re-envisioning of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, by Brad Neely. To experience it, viewers need to get a copy of the first Harry Potter movie (known as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Europe) and watch it with the sound off, replacing Neely’s narration with the original soundtrack.

After spreading rapidly among Neely’s friends in Austin, Wizard People made its theatrical debut at the New York Underground Film Festival, to rapturous applause. Many commenting that Neely has crafted an as-of-yet-unnamed new art form, one everyone should experience for themselves.

My pleasure Dimitris :)

I’d love to get a dialogue going on this site about his earlier films, since they are brilliant too!

Not sure if this is the correct place to complain but a few film pages (Blue Beard comes to mind) have rather tasteless screen grabs of their final shot. I do not feel that final shots powerful or otherwise should ever be used for spoiling sake, but that may just be my opinion.

If there’s a more appropriate place for me to post this, I’ll gladly follow fingers.

Logline: After avenging his wife’s murder, Kyle LeBlanc (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is thrown into one of Europe’s most crooked and dangerous prisons, where the corrupt warden pits inmates against each other in a deadly game that lines his own pockets with cash. Sent into brutal death matches again and again, LeBlanc metamorphoses into a hard-bitten, hopeless monster, until he realizes he must fight back to change the system — and regain his former self.
