i’m watching the game right now! i’m rooting for the vikings. i would like to see favre go to the super bowl one more time.
but whoever wins, this is the most epic rematch i can remember in the nfl.

Favre has a chance. He had a great chance last year. How amazing would that be if he rides off into the sunset with another championship after all these years. But I’m ready for the Boys to come out of the NFC this year.

dennis- i am very very sorry for you. i live in seattle, and i’ve been a seahawks fan since i was about 5. so imagine, we’ve only had one good season. the moment i was waiting for since i was a kid, the super bowl, was totally fucked by the referees. sure, they probably would have lost anyway, but that was still fucked because it’s like… who knows how it could have been different?
but i really like bradford. he didn’t even throw an int in the preseason!

Bradford has that OU pedigree. He’s gonna be fine.

Tough sledding in Seattle. You guys got our coach from SC though. I think you’ll be ok. But guess who’s back in the West…the Niners!!

every division has a dominant team, otherwise the entire division has no chance – right?
Football only exists for the point spread…

favre looks really unhappy in this game. in fact, he’s looked unhappy throughout the preseason.
he seems to win games more when he’s in a better mood.

Robert W Peabody III

favre was a franchise player i.e. a team was built around him
He’s pretty much shown he can’t be parachuted into a stuperbowl

Of course, the dominant team in the NFC-East is my Dallas Cowboys.

Are the Saints still winning? They looked pretty good in Q1.

johnny

but he came within one play of the bowl game last year???

^ Of course that “one play” was a signature Favre interception.

As i watch tonight’s game sorry folk’s he does make some stupid a** throws but Favre is one of kind. The man can still make throws that other QB’s can only dream of and the saints kicker sucks!

Oh, he’s a first-round Hall of Famer without question. Having a career year at 40 and never missed a game in all that time—amazing athlete.

Matt Parks

Yeah, but watching him try to run even makes my legs hurt.

Aikman was the same way when he was in his twenties. Of course he didn’t get touched until he’d already won three.

L.A.™

@matt: LOL that’s mean. He’s not top 5 though.

Matt Parks

Well, he is 40 . . . and a grandpa. You don’t think he’s a top 5 QB?

johnny

favre kinda sucked tonight. i think they weren’t confident. the saints KNEW they would win. the vikings had too much to prove and picked all the wrong plays.

i changed my mind… the raiders are gonna defeat the cowboys and broncos 2 win :O)

Matt Parks

Favre looked like a 40-year-old quarterback with a bad ankle who hadn’t been to training camp. It’s going to be rough for him until Rice comes back. Unfortunately, the Vikings have to play the Jets and Dallas before that’s going to happen.
