Over and over and over again…
Songs that help me go cold turkey
Sometimes you can only listen in awe. In the immortal words of Organ Morgan, “Johann Sebastian Mighty Bach”
DOWNBYLAW — You were right about me totally loving that Black Ryder song. I’ve been listening to it all week! “Lazy Greys” is awesome, too.
@Jerry – Red Headed Stranger is one of my favorite albums, even if I prefer Phases and Stages. The CD version of Red Headed Stranger includes this bonus track of Willie covering “Bonaparte’s Retreat”.
I accidentally put that Willie Nelson tune up twice. To atone for my mistake, I’ll put up this 13 minute performance of “Racehorse” by Wild Flag.
I think I’d like to make love to this woman’s voice.
Thanks, Nathan- I’m snowed in in the Northwest away from my kids and that makes me feel a lot better.
Edit: the Willie; not what excites yours.
Happy Shiny Shit:
I’m watching Stop Making Sense, but it seems all the links on YT have been removed, so just enjoy the set list:
More Happy Shiny Shit, but a least it’s warm:

Who took the money… Who took the money away?
Josh, yeah I was counting on you to like that. I read an interview where Aimee Nash said she didn’t like the direction the rest of The Morning After Girls wanted to go. So I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that I don’t like the post-Nash TMAG album near as much as the first one that was made with her. I do, however, love what she’s doing with The Black Ryder. The Black Ryder wrapped up their tour in October and are supposedly working on a second album. So maybe there are more good things to come.
