Wow – thanks Christine!!! I completely missed these somehow when searching YouTube. I know I have often had a hard time using their search feature when trying to find other films, as sometimes it is easy (for me, anyway) to miss something. I really appreciate you finding these two gems – which are among the reasons I picked Australia. I am not trying to influence anyone here (oh sure, the skeptics say), but both are key cinematic works and I believe Last Wave in particular is vastly under-rated and under-seen. You made my day! Whether you vote for these or not, please see these films.
Am I insulting Tarr if I watch Satantango on YouTube in so many parts? The other option is to get it from NetFlix but because it is on multiple discs I wouldn’t be able to watch it all at once.
am really eager to re-watch most of Weir’s (speaking of the recent Australian team topic, hehe)but of course,i will watch the ones i haven’t yet achieved to,beginning from Ucho as well….
Apursansar,i’ll need help with the Balkan links, but sooner or later, more team links will keep appearing, hehe.
Drew, don’t worry,i’ve watched so many films there which at times it becomes a sort of treasure instead of waiting the downloading options, plus…am in a worse position which like with other people such is Law,in my country we don’t even get the privileges of NetFlix…
Do it Drew…
Here are a few more for Australia…

The only one I couldn’t find was My Brilliant Career. I apologize for that!
Well, what can I say Christine – you have exceeded my expectations. Thanks again. Now I am almost as accessible as Austria, but with some films just a tad longer – ha!
Seek out My Brilliant Career any way you can everybody.

Ok, kids, if you go to my profile page, you will see the list of films for teams SE Asia and Africa. You will see that 4 of the 9 films for the SE Asian team are available on youtube and that 5 of the 9 for the African team are available of youtube as well. More will be made available on youtube in coming days. And for those in the States, most of the selections not on youtube are available on Netflix. Happy watching!
For those of you streaming from Youku: after hours of frustration with it myself in the evenings, I’ve noticed that it streams much faster when you take into consideration the time difference between say, North America, and China (depending on which time zone you’re in, it’s about give or take 12 hours ahead over there). If you stream videos during our daytime (and their wee hours of the morning), internet traffic on the site is much more tolerable I find. (My guess is that probably there aren’t that many people in Asia on the site in the middle of the night? I don’t know if this is a valid argument tech-wise…)

Black God, White Devil and Sunrise on You Tube….you gotta be kidding me..\
All Denmark titles for the first round match against Japan are available through Netflix. Kira’s Reason is available on Instant Play, for those with a Netflix account. Couldn’t find either Brothers or Epidemic on YT.
I can’t find almost any of the Canadian films on youtube, although The Sweet Hereafter is available on veoh if one downloads the player, which I don’t know anything about so I can’t recommend, they all seem to be available to torrent, but I don’t know anything about torrenting either so I was unsure which sites are the most trustworthy to link to. They are all available on DVD however, or are in the US anyway, and if one know more about that whole torrent deal than I do they should be relatively easy to get from that route as well even though most of them don’t seem to have many seeders.
Wavelength is available here with a slightly obtrusive logo, or here without one but in a little bit lower quality.
The Heart of the World is available online here
(I hope I formatted the links correctly.)
The Brazilian movies can be found below. All of them but Pixote are available on DVD at least in the US. I put the youtube link but when that one is not available I give a link to download the film.

The password to put together the files is www.lemonshare.net
2 – Black God, White Devil – Glauber Rocha

This one I could only find without subtitles. The movie is available on DVD with english subtitles, which means that it should be available somewhere…

Okay, all of China’s selections for the group round are available to watch online, in some form of another. I’ve updated the links to them on my profile. Just a note: some of these videos don’t do the films much justice and I apologize for that, but I figured it may help those of you who live in an area where these selections are hard to come by. That said, now no one has an excuse not to watch them because of issues of availability, okay? :P
Are there any fluent or nearly fluent French speakers here? I need help with translating the subtitles for The Wind, a film by Souleymane Cisse (the director of Yeelen) that is one of my selections for Team Africa. I saw the film at a retrospective and own it, but only with French subtitles. I tried to do the translation myself with my limited French, but it just isn’t going to work, lol. It would take a reasonably fluent person only a couple of hours to do it as it is already in a text format. You don’t have to worry about typos, spelling, grammar and so on, as I work as a freelance translator (not French, obviously, lol)/editor/subtitler, so I’ll work out the kinks. And then I can upload it for people to watch. It is one of the landmark films of African cinema and is currently not distributed in any form anywhere as far as I know. So you’d be doing not only me but all the cinephiles at this site a huge favor. Please help!
A friend of mine is from Montreal, so if there aren´t any possible translators on this site could I pass him the text the next time I visit him.
Apursansar, you’re going to heaven, my friend. We’ll do that if we can’t find someone here.

For UK LoveFilm users Before The Rain is available as an instant watch.
Thanks Apursansar. I’ll have the missing films available soon. It’s just that my modem won’t let me upload more than 1.8 MB at the moment, (yeah, I know, weird stuff) but I’m going to try from someone else’s computer
That´s great, I was unable to find any version of Prisionero 13 and El Compadre Mendoza. You selected some really rare films, and the only ones which have English Subtitles seem to be The Secret Formula and Salón México, so if you find any other films you selected with subtitles would it be appreciated if you could upload these in order to not limit the votings to the Spanish speaking audience.
