“For twenty years I made films about other people, I searched for intimacy in their life, I tried to be there with the camera in the breakthrough moments of their lives, to extract their most personal confessions. There came a moment when I turned the camera on myself and my father. I needed an honest conversation about the events that atomised our family. I am happy that father agreed to the conversation. He was brave and he made it through. I respect him for being a part of this. Obviously, he didn't have to do it.”
