With the neo-noir Fat City, Hollywood master John Huston (The Maltese Falcon) grabbed the new freedoms of the ’70s to make one of his greatest films. Based on the boxing novel by Leonard Gardner (who also wrote the screenplay), it stars Jeff Bridges, Stacy Keach, and a brilliant Susan Tyrrell.
