The aesthetical aspect of the film was highly innovative in the context of cinematic works, but I found myself having problems with the pace of the film, the overwhelming and busy narrative, as well as to a certain extent the one dimensional characters (which i could potentially learn to appreciate on second viewing, given the camp quality of the film).
The colouring of the film is vibrant and over the top much like the characters. Very similar to Memories of Matsuko. Love the eccentricities; randomly flying, Ichiko head-butting Momoko, Momoko's aversion to making friends, the cartoony bits. Tetsuya Nakashima has a real talent.
