An unfortunate case of bad embedded Journalism. Although Stone captured interesting patterns of American influence and "imperialism" in South America, he failed to look at Venezuela in its entirety and see the actual relationship between Chavez and his people, or the grave and unjust reality facing Venezuelans today. Chavez is no hero; he is a dictator and an unmerciful one at that. Too many large oversights.
As a documentary it is a complex and interesting production that try to explain why U.S. foreign policy always think about their own interests first and how they show a different face to their own citizens so that "they are going to save their world" when it all is about capitalism and getting their hands on South American resources. Sadly dated and Stone's narration is weak and it should have been subtitled.
