Say what you want but I really, really love this movie. I like how the relationships are portrayed, including the parents. Yes, Zach's character is unlikable but that's the point; many men (and women) act like this, seem to be normal and in love only to make idiotic decisions for reasons they don't comprehend. As ugly as it is, it rang true regarding many people I know.
US remake of 'L'Ultimo Baccio' which is worth a watch thanks to the ensemble. A guided tour through the second adolescence/early mid-life crisis of disenfranchised men. Casey Affleck's performance shines and Zach Braff is a much underused actor in US film.
I watched this because of Tom Wilkinson. I knew he just had a supporting role only, but thought he grants for quality. But even he blew it. Bad acting all over, unconvincing plot, unsympathic characters, boring.
