Flotsam, the daughter of New England lighthouse keeper Amos Bart, saves the vacationing Mrs. Elmer from drowning. Mrs. Elmer’s son Edward and Flotsam fall in love, but face complications from the brutish Joey Clark and from Flotsom’s father’s past.
