In the Mouth of Madness

Felt recycled--the "mutant" prosthetics and monster effects looked like they could've come out of any generic horror movie. The genuinely creepy moments (like the kid on the bike) were often cancelled out by the lame "jump" scares. I like Carpenter, but this just played as watered down and confused. Also, couldn't stop thinking of *From Beyond*. (Points though for how the end of the film foreshadows his MoH episode.)
